The library staircase winds up through three floors to a map depicting a small archipelago alias Rica Reich.

LEGENDÄRE ORTE [Legendary Places] are inscribed in large black letters on the front faces of the stair treads, all naming famous islands from significant literary works.

From Atlantis (Plato, 360 B.C.) to Niflheim (Sturluson, 1241), Utopia (Morris, 1516), Lilliput (Swift, 1726), Neverland (Barrie, 1902), Uqbar (Borges, 1940), all the way to Phantásien (Ende, 1979), the literary prelude leads to the map of Rica Reich.

In this interplay between fiction and surveying, everything revolves around the description of bounded territories.
