The four transparent sides of the cube are tinted in one of the three primary colors—blue (C), yellow (Y), and magenta (M)—as well as clear glass. The translucent ceiling is backlit entirely in white, and the floor features a gray anti-slip mat.
When looking through the glass cube, the primary colors blend depending on the viewing angle: blue and yellow to green, blue and magenta to violet, and yellow and magenta to orange.

Colored Glass Windbreak (CMY-Cube)
The proposal ZUGANG [ENTRANCE] reimagines the unassuming, purely functional windbreak at the main entrance of the Psychotrauma Center as a transitional space that marks the transition from outside to inside (and vice versa).
With its proportions slightly altered, shifted by 11°, and constructed of colored glass, the vestibule becomes a 3.30 m x 3.30 m x 3.30 m cube that imbues the foyer with different atmospheres depending on the time of day and the position of the sun.
Enabling early and low-threshold access to treatment is a key therapeutic approach of the Psychotrauma Center.
“Going through” something is a transitional process that implies a desire to emerge from it healed. Stepping inside and engaging with what is offered is one of the first hurdles. The colorful ENTRANCE is an invitation to take this step.
