Rote Skulptur mit Schatten

Raumfisch

The “Noah’s Ark” childcare center as a takeoff and landing site:
A play on words and wind on the roof, a mural on the windowless facade.

Like a weather vane, the installation is meant to sit atop the roof, serving as a focal point for all who pass by.
Depending on the wind direction and strength, the RAUMFISCH [SPACE FISH]reveals its utopian or Christian side, sometimes more, sometimes less dynamically.

Modeled after a vertical wind turbine, two oversized cookie cutters are nested inside one another on a single axis: a fish and a spaceship.

The mural is “unrolled” across a large section of the facade, colorfully marking the entrance to the daycare center. Standing out is a school of fish, with the PACE FISH right in the middle.

cookie cutter

A cookie cutter is a tangible object, and every young generation is full of drive and bold dreams. Children want to become astronauts, bakers, firefighters, doctors, chancellors, popes, and so on.
Will Ark 3.0 be a spaceship?
